This website is copyright. No part of this site may be reproduced without our written permission. This includes, but is not limited to, reviews and venue data. Content may be reproduced only with our permission at AUD $1.00 per review excerpt, per day. For the avoidance of doubt, an excerpt is considered five or more words from a review. An automatic exemption is granted to licensed venues who may reproduce only the review which directly relates to their venue. We will vigilantly pursue all breaches of our copyright and reserve the right to claim damages of AUD $1.00 per review excerpt, per day, published without our written permission, or not covered by automatic exemption.

Because of the nearly infinite number of sources for reviews, it is impossible for us determine if any review we post infringes the copyright of another party. Advertising
  1. This agreement is law enforceable and is not subject to cancellation except by these terms and conditions.
  2. The Advertiser undertakes to provide suitable material within the necessary time frame before broadcast. Any delay will reflect in lost advertising time and not affect payment arrangements.
  3. The Website has the final decision as to time slot for the advertisement.
  4. Any infringement of a third party copyright or trade mark, or legal claim arising from any such infringement will be borne by the Advertiser; as will any costs incurred for said infringement.
  5. If the Advertiser should fail to make payment at the due time and subsequent contact is not satisfactory, the Website reserves the right to apply the "industry standard" for debt recovery. This will incur additional costs and suspension of advertising display time at our discretion.
  6. The Website reserves the right to charge for unpaid, returned bankers orders or cheques at the industry standard rate.
Function Venues Directory Policies
  1. Listings must have at least 30 standing capacity.
  2. Listings must have at least 2 photos, up to a maximum of 5 photos.
  3. Listings must be available for and advertised as cocktail-style (stand-up). Drinks must be available for purchase/collection from a bar, and not solely via waitered service.
  4. Listings must include clear hire fees and minimum spends for Friday and Saturday nights. These rates must not include references to negotiation except where referencing extended hire past the guaranteed hire time.
  5. Listings must be available for exclusive Saturday night hire. Exclusivity must be available until at least 10pm and the room/area must be licensed until at least 12am.
  6. Listings must have Saturday costs and closing times published on the front page.
  7. Listings will not include telephone numbers, email addresses, website links and function packs (or links to function packs).
  8. Listings will not include terms of hire such as, for example, deposit procedures.
  9. Listings will not include details/prices of finger food or drinks.
  10. Listings will not include seasonal or temporary offers. All offers/deals must be available all-year round.
  11. Listings will not include reference to sub-sectioning/sub-partitioning, non-exclusivity or entire venue hire (unless the listing is itself an entire venue listing).
  12. 1 listing per venue is accepted in the base fee. A 2nd/3rd/4th listing attracts an extra fee.
  13. 2 listings per venue will be run on a trial.
  14. 4 listings per venue will be accepted maximum.
  15. Photos must include cocktail configuration, i.e. tables/chairs moved aside, and must include the bar if it is exclusive.
  16. Photos will be limited to a maximum 1x dining configuration.
  17. Photos must show the actual roping off for listings promoted as being exclusive roped off areas.
  18. Photos must not be solely of people, i.e. without showing the venue in context.
  19. No references to 18th birthdays, afterparties, underage events or bucks parties in a listing apart from Yes/No suitability where provided.
  20. No references to explicit/sexual entertainment in a listing.
  21. The words "cafe" or "restaurant" will not be included in a venue name.
  22. The words "the", "bar", "cocktail", "lounge" and so forth will not be included in a venue name, unless it is an inseparable part of the venue name.
  23. Venue names must start with a capital letter. Venue names will not be written entirely in capital letters.
  24. Venue reviews have no bearing on a function listing, and vice-versa.
  25. We cannot guarantee a minimum number of enquiries per month. Past performance is no guarantee of future performance.
  26. It is the responsibility of the venue to ensure their email address can receive enquiries. We will not be held responsible for enquiries which do not arrive due to venue's mailboxes being full or unavailable, spam blacklists or missing PTR records. Enquiries which fail to arrive due to these reasons will not be resent, nor will the venue be notified of the delivery failure.
  27. With respect to email address changes, it is the responsibility of the venue to notify us at least 7 calendar days prior to the existing email address ceasing to function. We require at least 7 calendar days notice to update email addresses.
  28. We do not make any guarantees as to the uptime and availability of the Function Venues Directory. However, we will use our best endeavours to ensure site uptime and availability at all times.
  29. One trial per venue. A venue which has previously had a trial and then refurbishes or has suspended their listing is ineligible for a new trial.
  30. Monthly reporting is not included in a listing, and is only available at extra charge.
  31. Venues receiving over 15 enquiries per month average are considered high-volume listings and an increased listing fee is payable.
  32. Listings receiving less than 2 enquiries per month average will not be renewed.
  33. Listings may be advertised on partner web sites.
  34. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a venue's listing due to complaints from the public. These complaints include, but are not limited to, complaints arising from enquiries not being answered within a reasonable time or prices not being honoured. A pro-rata refund will be issued where a listing is terminated.

  • Grater than 3 months remaining:
    1. Pro rata refund, less 50% cancellation fee, OR
    2. Roll over remaining listing term (less 1 month) to a partner venue (partner venue must fulfill standard listing requirements).
