One of Melbourne's most historic hotels has taken its original name held between 1889 and 1907. Rich with history and full of style, the Portland Hotel provides the ultimate experience of uncompromising quality and the in-house James Squire Brewhouse offers the entire Squire range and introduces Melbourne's only working Micro Brewery. Our talented kitchen can provide catering to accommodate any function or event.

Available are two different function areas, each with approx. 120 capacity. Neither has a hire charge or minimum spend.

The Brewpit (Photos 1-3): This can be cordoned off for private functions and parties. This area sits alongside our very own working micro brewery that produces high quality, hand crafted house brews. The area is equipped with an LCD screen with the ability to have a PA system if required. The brewpit layout can also be customised to your liking with an open plan layout or large tables if required.

The Back Area (Photos 4-6): This can be cordoned off for private functions and parties. We have the ability to run sound from the TV or big screen if required or you can be entertained by our house music.
