Review: Julie Whiting
The former dark and moody Plan B has been given a breath of fresh air with this slick contender for the emerging East Brunswick bar scene.
Aptly named after the character in To Kill A Mockingbird, Atticus Finch has a modern but bookish feel. It?s offerings are a bit more avant-garde though, with a great selection of local and international wine, beer and spirits. Little wonder, since the mob running it also operate the boutique wine store Black Hearts & Sparrows Wine Purveyors on Punt Road. They know their stuff.
Prop near the front bar where the action is, or wander down into one of the cosy nooks beyond, including a splendid beer garden and a separate pool table room.
In the midst of all this are the bathrooms, which are made up of two stylish unisex cubicles. So the age old dilemma of crowded female toilets and empty male ones is no probs.
A good spot for an intimate party, or for after dinner drinks with cool tunes.
