The Barkly is in prime position in central Footscray, but unfortunately at present is open once weekly as an 'over 28's' nightclub. According to those who did go there when it was open, it was a lovely old pub with potential (similar in architectural style to the Town Hall in Nth Melbourne).
Could this be the funky, grungy local that Footscray residents are still waiting for, following the demise of the House of Fools?
