Venue type: Club
Review: Julie Whiting
Let's face it, Barry's a great host, providing a fun and funky venue in which to boogie the night away. A hallway-type structure leads patrons to the main dance area at the back, which is where the fun begins. A Bar Called Barry plays a variety of top 40 tracks with a good sprinkling of retro and alternative. When the DJ's choice is popular, the split-level dance floor engulfs some of the seating area.
An upstairs room complete with bar lets those who are all danced-out take a break from the action.
Music Most Nights
DJs work their magic on weekends, with a good range of danceable retro and rock music.
Second Opinion
An insanely alternative venue, A Bar Called Barry is extremely popular, and often busy. It has a Camden, London, feel for those that have been there. If you're even slightly alternative and want to have a dance around the Fitzroy area, head here, and don't be put off by any queues out the front: they're there for a reason.

Readers' Reviews
If you're into all different types of music, from RnB to 80's, Barry's has a funky atmosphere with everyone keen on just having fun! Only problem is you have to get in early to avoid the queues. Oh AND the DJs pretty much play requests all nite. Yay!

Barry is a wonderful bar, the drinks, the tunes, the staff, the cruizy Atmosphere! Always chock full of cool people and everyone is so easy going. The DJ is a genius! His crazy choice of music keeps a smile on my face all night.
If you have a morbid phobia of queues - like myself, definitely organise a guest list. They're only too happy to do it for you, you can line up on the member's side and it's discounted entry, too!
