Venue type: Pub
Review: Julie Whiting
Pub crawlers and mobile phone fanatics aren't welcome here, and the Standard has a few rules and regulations of this kind for punters to adhere to. Don't be alarmed though, as management's efforts to maintain a civilised environment has struck a chord with many and the Standard is a popular watering hole. The good menu, cosy environment and great beer garden might have something to do with it.
Always Busy
Scoring a table is sometimes difficult, especially on those balmy evenings just made for drinking outdoors.
Beer Garden
The beer garden here is an real drawcard, and can squeeze about 200 people in amongst the lush foliage. It also has an outside bar when the weather justifies it.
Readers' Reviews
Cool pub which can be a bit hard to find if you aren't a local. The outdoor beer garden (is more like someones backyard than a beergarden) is perfect for a cold afternoon beer and parmagiana on a hot January arvo. The relaxed feel creates a great vibe.
