Venue type: Pub
Review: Geoff Coley
One of the more renowned pubs in the area, The Swan always packs a crowd, and with live music and often DJs, this pub often grooves until the last few patrons leave.
The Swan is a big pub, boasting a large bar, and plenty of nooks and crannies to sneak away to - perfect for relaxing for a while or the amongst friends chat. That beer garden, fitted out with a concrete floor, palm trees, orange lighting and plenty of corrugated iron, adds a little more fun and light to the overall atmosphere.
The live bands and loud crowds definitely add fire to this venue.
Always Busy
Generally always quite full, although we've never seen a queue out the front.
Beer Garden
An indoor beer garden, but check it out!
Second Opinion
We're talking band venue here, and it's one that's equally popular with both the girls and the boys. It's less grungy than the Corner Hotel, and more mainstream. If you like a pub with a band, get down here.
