Venue type: Bar, Club    Review: Lush Green
The Vineyard is where it's at if you're looking for a bar with everything in St Kilda. Thursday nights are a must when you can dance your soul away to some fantastic live funk/jazz/electronica/rap/jungle beats (you name it) playing till the early hours of the morning. The decor is how you'd find a cellar at a winery - low roof, loads of rustic floorboards and fantastic huge round windows enclosing a spacious open-plan interior. You can dance, lounge on the huge old leather sofas and have a long neck or dine on some delicious food at a reasonable price by candlelight. Sundays are most popular and you'll be required to wait in a queue in order to get in. So, check it out and see for yourself, exactly what this place has that everyone's raving about.
Always Busy
Due to it's location right in the centre of the action on Acland Street, the Vineyard is always busy.
Music Most Nights
People dance their arms and legs off on Thursday nights after approx 11.30pm when you'll find any genre of music being played here live. It's an intimate venue with the band playing on your level...not just physically but spiritually as well!
Backpacker Venue
Everywhere in St Kilda is a backpacker haunt so you're guaranteed to find one in here.
Readers' Reviews
The vibe of this funky place was oozing out the front door begging me to make my way past the very cute doorman. The bar staff are hot and very good at hearing what you order as its loud and its brilliant.

The tribal beat gets inside you and transports you to another place were reality doesnt exist.
The band (lead singer had dreadies) dont know who they were but they were feeling every beat and vibe from deep within their souls.

Serious dancing happens here from dirty dancing to uncontrollable movin and groovin. The boys were OTT and the lead singer was on the shoulders of the bass guitarist going crazy with percussion and this is what appeals to me as the whole place was insane and I loved it!!
