Venue type: Bar    Review: Mark Davies
Swish little restaurant that doubles as a full bar in the evenings. The mood's very low lighting with loud beats from the DJ, so it's well and truly not one for those that want a quiet chat. Baraki definitely caters for the more clubby bar person, so get down here pronto if that's you.

A swish little undiscovered place on Lonsdale St. When you drive past it, there seems to be not much to look at, however upon entry your met with a relaxing ambience of dim lighting and friendly faces.

Certinally caters for an older crowd from 25 years and up. The DJ fires up the crowd at the end of the night..

The loungiest of all places is Baraki. From the outside does not look like much and once you step in there it is the most relaxing atmosphere...

Inside on Friday nights you can catch this unreal funk band playing the best soul and rnb classics... The crowd get really into it as they play the great funk tracks that we all grew up with...

And to add to that there is this DJ there who is amazing when it comes to playing old school rnb... If you have been in the old school room at seven on saturdays then you will love it...The DJ will take you back down memory lane and he mixes in phat beats... It is an unbeatable combination with the band and DJ that is sure to give you a good time.

A dim lit, modest warm environment located on the corner of Lonsdale and Russell Street, walking distance from Melbourne Central station, Baraki bar is exotic and soulful.

The band plays the best soul, and rhythm and blues music heard in ages. The classic warm vocals from the best RnB groups over the ages, and with the updated music hits in the charts being played by the DJ between band intervals give the constant good music you want on a Saturday night.

A great place to have a couple of drinks with workmates or partners on the second level near the DJ and also providing a dancing partying mood atmosphere for those who are a little more lively, Baraki bar is the place to go.

The more good casual dress sense found in this chilled out bar/club adds to the welcoming homely friendliness of the place.
