Venue type: Bar    Review: Daniel Berger
This second floor venue, tucked away near the corner of Smith and Gertrude street almost seems out of place given its situation in the very 'cultural' Fitzroy. We only say that because as much as we love Fitzroy, this sort of class is often one of the things missing. So here we go: one large bar, stunning decor (reminiscent of a scene from Clockwork orange but much friendlier) and an intimate dance floor in the back corner serenaded by a guru DJ playing the most happening tunes combine to make this venue definitely one of Fitzroy's finest.

The venue is done with a finesse which keeps all thought of tacky far away. There are pretend computer screens on every table to... play with; yet we weren't frustrated at all. The booth seating provided nice views of the surrounding area though its own windows. This may suggest a Parisian influence (especially with its harmony of the strange and the classy), yet the lighting is set bright enough so you won't feel like you should be hitting up in a corner, or being grabbed by some sleaze.

Have a sip of nice wine, enjoy a nice imported beer, or perhaps even your favourite mixer. Boys and girls, you will love this place.

This is a place abuzz with chit chat, and you are sure meet someone different here. We think the management would probably not want the news to get out in order to keep the clientele as stylish as they currently are, but hey, that's what we're here for.
