You won't find a many pub like this classic step back in time. The locals who drink here are almost part of the furniture and love the fact that the publican has refused the no doubt ever so tempting 'cash in' to furnishing this establishment with poker machines. The bar staff are welcoming and the counter meals 'large' and great value. Step in and enjoy the AFL replay and the many local men who call this place home many nights of the week. The furnishings aren't 'in vogue' but that too often comes funded from vast quantities of coin gobbling machines. All your favourite 'Melbourne' brewed beers are offered on tap and you won't find any of the other interstate brewed gear here. Love this Pub! It's a real Port Pub, that has retained its appeal to the locals, while offering great meals at reasonable prices in the Dining Room. The public bar is basic, old-fashioned, and a second home to a lot of Port Melbourne characters. We go to the dining room, where we enjoy sitting at the full height front windows looking out at Bay Street. On hot days & nights they open the windows fully and you are basically on the street. I love the chairs! Comfy, high backed padded dining chairs that you can sit in for hours. The decor is fun & arty. Publicans Kim & Ross are really nice - an honest pub!
