Review: Michael Edmonds
Now this is where things get interesting. The Dick Whittington is far from a tiny pub, and in fact the many nights listed out the front reveal there's something in store inside most nights of the week.
Things initially look a little on the gaming side, but navigate your way to the right and a sneaky glass door opens up into the public bar area we're all here for. A yes - pool table, jukebox, stage sort of area .. people .. this is what we're after!
The feel is not too big, not too small; one main area, and enough people around at all times so you're far from on your own. Tables will often have little candles on them, which goes to show there's some love going into the place.
What we liked most about the Dick Whittington Tavern is that there's so much going down here, they require their own newsletter. Not only trivia, oh no - there's poetry, karaoke, comedy, bands, open mic, pizzas and even the roast day on Sunday.
Whack in a drive-thru bottle shop and you have a respectable pub that's worth adding to your St Kilda list.
