Tucked away at the North Carlton end of Lygon Street, is this wine-lover's delight. The wooden-beamed little bar through the front door has the rustic feel of quarters on an old ship. If you want to sit on chairs and tables, keep going through to the dining area, where good quality meals are consumed with fervour. And with ample reds and whites, wine being Jimmy's specialty after all. Reasonably mature and wine/cuisine-appreciative, is the crowd in here. As a side note, Jimmy Watson's is home of the famous Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy, which recognises the best red of the previous year's vintage.
