Venue type: Pub, Bar
Review: Mark Davies
The Mountain View Hotel is a big pub, and has several levels - not immediately apparent from the outside, where one mainly sees the dining area. It's well popular with the footy, cricket and rugby crowds, and a big screen upstairs shows all the action. There's plenty of pool tables packed in, along with a jukebox, and several bars give it a vibrant, happy feel. It might be warm in the winter, but during summer the real treat awaits - the front is opened right up, spilling the pub onto the sidewalk.
Functions here are popular too, with three separate areas available.
Second Opinion
Whether you've been milking a cow, whether you've been bargain shopping all day, whether you've been screaming your lungs out at a football match at the MCG; as a matter of fact, if you've got one now, have a beer at the Mountain View Hotel. Because a long, hard thirst deserves being cured in this pub in the heart of Richmond. There's a great dining room on the lower level. The pub is open and airy in the summer and cosy in the winter.

Readers' Reviews
The Mountain View has been a popular spot for my colleagues and myself for approximately 2-3 years - especially Friday lunch. The food is enjoyable, well priced and available in large portions. Service is also good. It also has a good range of beers on tap, but should have a few more CUB beers, rather than Tooheys.
Otherwise, the pub is fantastic and we look forward to Friday lunches at the View. Will be there in a few hours.
