The door staff open the door for you. Dim lighting. A busy central bar. Add some couches with live DJs spinning decent, loud music on the one side, and top it off with restaurant tables on the other which have a view onto the pizza maker.

It's popular, and you can see why: a funky blend, a pool table, cheap pizzas, and busy vibe are mixed together well. It's a 'happening' place - where you'd warm up, not wind down.

The transformation of former Brunswick Street institution the Punter's Club, Bimbo Deluxe boasts an outstanding range of chilled infused vodkas made on the premises. If that doesn't interest you, there is a casual eatery and comfy seating in which to enjoy the DJs and warm, ex-pub aura.

The lights are dim so it's not in your face lighting. The age group tends to be early to mid 20s to mid 30s - a really nice and fun crowd. I always seem to make a friend in the girls' toilets and end up dancing with her on the dancefloor later - my boyfriend just shakes his head and says, "You're incredible, every time we come here you make a new friend". Which is great, because in a lot of other places the girls are competitive; people at Bimbo's are there to have a good night and make a few friends.
There are couches to sit on if you don't feel like dancing or standing, a decent sized dance floor with great DJs spinning their stuff, a pool table, or tables and chairs to sit at. The rooftop is unreal on a hot night, or you can just stand around near the bar like 'in a pub' atmosphere.
