Review: Julie Whiting
Replacing the bank that stood here on the corners of Elizabeth and Franklin Streets until somewhere near the end of the year 2000, is this spacious place to relax. Chairs and tables surround the bar, and there is a big screen TV and lots of pool tables. If that's all a bit much, seek refuge in the games area in the corner, or grab something from the bottle shop (open until midnight, seven days a week) and go home! Especially handy if you are staying in the backpackers accommodation upstairs.

Second Opinion
Similar in layout and style to The Joint, we found Fluid Oz to be just that little bit busier, if not even friendlier. Imagine a bit of a mix of pool tables and chairs'n'tables with lots of jugs being bought at the bar. In fact, that pool table makes a great spot to meet fellow travellers.

Fluid Oz is a great place to relax, get some beers in and request 80s tunes on the video jukebox. Much like the Joint but easier to get a seat. A nice mixed crowd of young and old. If you're not into those overly hip places with dudes in tight Fcuk t-shirts and girls with too much make up, this is the place for you.
