The Chaise Lounge is one of Melbourne's more opulently styled basement bars, its closest cousin probably being Arthur's. It's more colourful though, and more intimate given its smaller size. A glamorous, vibrant and bustling venue, it attracts an upmarket 'glam' crowd through its funky music and ambient atmosphere. There's something on nearly every night of the week, and cocktails are a specialty (we note Bartender Magazine's 2001 cocktail bar of the year award).
