Review: Lush Green
If you're looking for an after-work fix or you'd like a "pre-whatever" drink then pop in here. The Hairy Canary is a tiny, upstairs bar and worth a visit. The style is simple, with a few tables and chairs located at the end of the bar which is the dining area. The menu is impressive and modern but not for the budget conscious. A leather couch and bench seats at the front of the bar look out through the open window onto Little Collins Street. The Hairy attracts an mature, well dressed and professional crowd due to its location in the CBD. It's simple, inviting and always has a groovy atmosphere and the mixed drinks come in big glasses (always a bonus)!

It is always busy so if you're looking to eat, book, if like me however your interests lie mainly in the drinking, do not be discouraged when you can't find a seat; stand at the bar or take a stool, and soak up the atmosphere of this Melbourne icon. Although their beer selection is limited, a varied array of wine and spirits are on offer being served by friendly staff.
The crowd is a mix of cool early twenties to mid thirties, with every chance of spotting a celebrity blending into the mix.
An excellent starting point to your evening.
