Review: Julie Whiting
A cosy corner pub that locals adore, the Grand View Hotel has three stories and sits high on the hill at the corner of Hunter and Pearson Streets in West Brunswick. An impressive building, the locals love the hotel for its friendly atmosphere, excellent cuisine and fine selection of wines.
The Grand View also caters for functions upstairs in the grand function room, which has a separate drawing room with fire place and tiled balcony for smokers. There are also rooms available for overnight accommodation.
Outdoor Area / Beer Garden
The Grand View beer garden is also open all year round.

If you like getting on board really up-and-coming pubs so you can say you used to go there before it was really popular, this is the one to go to - right now. It's a lot like Brunswick West itself: young, cheerful, local, a bit disheveled and a bit chaotic (in a very Brunswick sort of way), and quite, quite hip.
The locals are friendly, the saloon bar is relaxed, there are sports screens with Fox, there is a trash-can fire going out the back and the decor is just the right mix of eclectic and old nineteenth century pub.
