Review: Julie Whiting
Established in 1889 at the height of the Victorian gold rush, The Middle Park Hotel's early opulence seeps through a slick renovation by famous Melbourne architects, Six Degrees.
The downstairs bar is a nod to the days of old school Australian pub culture from the polished brass kicker circulating the entire bar, to the more circumspect Ladies Lounge with all the feminine touches, to contrast the manlier vibe of the main bar. And what a bar it is! At 70 metres long and with 45 individual taps, it is for serious thirst-quenching.
The Middle Park also has a fine eatery and luxury lodgings - the foyer of which is classically old world and a delight to behold.
Outdoor Area / Beer Garden
The Middle Park has a courtyard and an outside seating area.
