Venue type: Pub    Review: Tony Clarke
A stark interior befits the pub's old school railway station location. The walls are empty, the bar is basic, but the beer is the coldest you'll get for miles. There's no excuse not to pop in here should the next train be 20 minutes away.

Head through a side door to a bistro area which transforms in to a club on Saturdays. Fridays will often have a band.
Outdoor Area / Beer Garden
Head through the rear door to a small courtyard with reed-style fencing and a few tables.

What can I say but what a rockin pub rolled in to the Junction a couple of week ago, trains where down again went in for a beer and stayed to 3am ouch but had a great time. They had some fantastic entertainment on and the cheapest drinks I've found in Melbourne. Staff are nice and talk to everybody not like most pubs these days where all they want is your cash and the coldest beer I've tried would recommend the Junction to all. Not only that they have a night club there as well all it cost me was a gold coin to get in (NICE) great tunes it also has 2 rooms the main club plus a large beer/smoking area also 4 pool tables arcade games in the back chill out room.

The Junction is back! It's a nice, laid-back pub - there aren't many left! Actually it went upmarket for a while, but it's gone back to its roots, and it's perfect for a beer or a chardy after work. Look up the train timetable before you come so you're not stressed about having to make the train!

Very basic decor, but functional. Pool table in the front room reminds me of my child hood in a country town with 10 pubs. Staff was friendly and helpful and genuine people people. I got referred to the pub my another local pub barmaid for the fact they have a great Open Mic night. "Jack" from Sunbury runs a great show. Some really talented musicians in this area. Impressive!!! Had a go at playing bass and loved jamming with a lad from Manchester City and the a local drummer and then a sax player joined in who also play "harp". If you want a cheap night out with great cold beer and live music from rock to good folk to ballads then go the Junction. You can try the local badged beer called the "Junction Junk". Junk is a nice cold draught. If you want to hear some music on a Sunday in the Western suburbs of Melbourne go to The Junction Hotel in Newport in the late afternoon and grab a nice cold beer and share with a mate or two...
