Review: Tony Clarke
Old school strippers pub - one of the last in Melbourne. Towards the end of the week the jug will be passed round for donations and strip shows are performed to a highly casual and relaxed crowd. Be aware that there are no longer topless barmaids. Either way, it's a pub at heart, and welcoming to all.

This pub is kind of a shame it has the whole topless bar reputation, but what people dont know is Sundays its not a topless bar, and it has a band every Sundi arvo. This band rocks, gets all the punters dancing; the Spotiswoode Hotel hs become a great Sunday arvo of fun, dancing, and drinking.

The Spotty has a great Saturday night with a band playing every Saturday from 8pm. A broad range of ages were there when I went, from 20 somethings to older people. The band played old & new rock stuff & were great! It doesn't have great dining facilites but it's probably worth dropping in on your way to a late night in town.

Well I just moved to Spotswood so I thought I would check out my new local. Spottiswoode Hotel is a rare pub. I once got dragged here with students from a RAAF course years before so I was aware of it having strippers. It has fell on harder times but the bistro is still open on Thursday and Fridays (which suits this bachelor that means on pay day I do not have to cook!!!) Friendly staff (with a nice rackJ) Miranda also helped find other pubs with a bistro open on the day I got there. Beer was icy cold and the the first one went down a treat. After three pots I was comfortable and strolled to the next pub with a bistro. Great place with real fair dinkum genuine people. I will be back on pay day for a feed and a nice cold beer. Cooks a nice sort too, she happen to be there on her day off. Good working class pub with a bit of entertainment. Give it a burl!!!
